Acceptance of Terms
The SeattleSeq Annotation Server is available to you subject to the Terms of Service described on this page. Your use
of this server constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions.
Purpose of SeattleSeq Annotation
SeattleSeq Annotation is designed to disseminate information developed through support of the
National Human Genome Research Institute and the
National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and is
managed by Dr. Deborah Nickerson at the Department of Genome Sciences, University of Washington. SeattleSeq Annotation serves the University of
Washington's mission to disseminate knowledge in the public interest. This information is provided under the following terms and
conditions.
SeattleSeq Annotation provides a simple tool for annotation of human variation sites for research purposes. SeattleSeq Annotation is subject to
change without notice.
Privacy Policy
The IP addresses of your computer and your query parameters are being saved in log files, in order that we can monitor the loading
of the server and improve response. Statistics of usage are collected from these log files to justify the funding of the effort.
University of Washington is an agency of the State of Washington and as such has obligations to maintain public records under
RCW 42, which potentially requires us to provide SeattleSeq Annotation log files and data records if requested by anyone through the proper process.
Use of SeattleSeq Annotation
SeattleSeq Annotation is intended for your educational or research purposes. All materials and services provided on SeattleSeq Annotation are protected by copyright
or other intellectual property rights, and are owned or controlled by the University of Washington, except as noted otherwise.
Confidentiality
All data submitted to SeattleSeq Annotation may become publicly accessible, and the University of Washington does not guarantee confidentiality.
Modification to Terms of Service
The University of Washington reserves the right to change these Terms of Service. The current Terms of Service will always be posted
at SeattleSeq Annotation. The University of Washington reserves the right to suspend maintenance or service of SeattleSeq Annotation at any time and without notice.
